HTHP Filter Press

PZT-LAB-HTHP-FP
HTHP filter press with heating jacket, pressurised cell assembly and back-pressure receiver

API filtration at ambient conditions tells you very little about how a fluid behaves at depth, where temperature thins the filtrate and differential pressure drives it into the formation. This press runs the same measurement at up to 232 °C and 600 psi differential, across a 22.6 cm² filtration area, with an insulated heating jacket bringing the cell to temperature quickly. Fluid-loss packages that pass at surface routinely fail here, which is precisely the point of running it. Handles cement slurries as readily as drilling fluids.

Applications

  • Fluid loss determination in oil- and water-based muds
  • Cement slurry filtration testing
  • Mud cake property evaluation under HTHP conditions
  • HTHP additive qualification and screening

What's Included

  • Principal machine assembly
  • Mud sample cup, with or without through-hole
  • Insulated heating jacket
  • Pipe-manifold assembly and tee coupling
  • Filtrate receiver package
  • Electrical temperature control system

Accessories Supplied

  • 25 mL graduated cylinder
  • HTHP filter paper (988 type)
  • Thermometers, 0–200 °C (×2)
